The Witch’s Bakery Beginner’s Guide: Tips for Baking, Heart Palaces & Daily Routine

The Witch's Bakery gameplay — beginner tips and guide

New to The Witch’s Bakery? Here’s how to get the most out of Lunne’s first week. This beginner’s guide covers the daily loop, the dough mini-game, Heart Palaces, and a few tips the game doesn’t spell out.

Master the daily loop first

The game is built around a day split into Daytime (bake), Evening (explore), Night (upgrade). Don’t rush — the story unlocks in the evenings, so always leave time to explore Paris rather than grinding the bakery.

Tips for the bakery & dough mini-game

  • Keep an eye on your dough supply and prioritize the most-ordered treats — let Oreo handle sorting while you prep.
  • Special orders come from customers with an emotional “ailment.” These trigger a short maze mini-game, so save energy for them.
  • You don’t need a perfect run — the game is forgiving, so focus on finishing orders, not maxing every score.

How Heart Palaces work

For characters with deep struggles, Lunne enters a Heart Palace — a dreamlike space where you guide personified emotions back to the “Heart’s Cradle.” Doing this earns the special ingredient for a healing bread. Take your time reading the dialogue here; the clues to each puzzle are in the character’s story.

Spend your nights wisely

Night is for upgrading magic, decorating, and working in your atelier. Early on, prioritize magic upgrades that speed up baking so your days feel less tight.
